About us
Founded in 2010, the Glebe Gorillas have grown into one of the most successful amateur clubs in Sydney. With 7 senior men's teams, we continue to attract more members every year.
History of the
Gorillas
In 2010 the Gorillas competed in the SAFL competition, but in 2017 we moved into the Eastern Suburbs Football Association (ESFA). The new competition brought another level of competitiveness to the club and the players and managers were thriving on this new challenge.
In 2018 the Gorillas had continued success and recruited strongly across all grades with the AA3 squad winning the Grand Final in the Playoffs and the Reserve Grade doing the double (winning the league & winning the play-offs).
In 2022 we enjoyed our greatest ever season, winning the ESFA men's Premier League and NSW Champions of Champions, defeating Banksia Tigers 3-2 in an epic final at Valentine's Park.
